About Us
St. Paul’s Convent School is one of the oldest educational Institutions in the textile hub of Davangere and is in the year of its PLATINUM JUBILEE. It was started on June 1st, 1946, even before India became independent to cater to the educational needs of the local population which was both poor and illiterate. Our pioneers came from different States without even knowing the language of the common people. Their passion for education was great and their love for the people of Davangere was even greater.
St. Paul’s during its existence of 78 long years has seen lakhs of students crossing its threshold and has contributed significantly to nation-building. It has produced prominent and well-known academicians, defense and police forces, administrators, politicians, sports personalities, medical professionals, and engineers, to mention a few areas of its contribution.
As you know, St. Paul’s institutions run both Kannada and English medium, as well as aided and unaided sections. and in 2019 it added a new feather to its cap by starting CBSE.
